CEO Russell Hancock hosts new public affairs program Sundays at noon; Show debuts July 3 with Rep. Mike Honda
SAN JOSE, Calif. – June 23, 2011 – Joint Venture Silicon Valley and San Jose radio station 1590 KLIV today announced the launch of “Inside Silicon Valley,” a new weekly public affairs program that will explore topics of interest with regional business executives, elected officials, community leaders and other experts.
Joint Venture CEO Russell Hancock hosts the hour-long program that will air every Sunday at noon starting July 3. Hancock’s first guest will be Silicon Valley Congressman Mike Honda, in a discussion on Silicon Valley’s relationship with Washington, D.C.
“Every week this program will go in depth with Silicon Valley’s thought leaders on the many important regional issues affecting our economy and quality of life,” said Hancock, who has hosted a similar program intermittently on KLIV for the past two years. “We are indebted to KLIV and Empire Broadcasting for this opportunity to inform its listeners more broadly and more regularly about our region’s most important issues, challenges and opportunities.”
KLIV News and Program Director George Sampson said, “The program works very well with KLIV’s emphasis on the news, people and ideas that make Silicon Valley unique.”
Podcasts of “Inside Silicon Valley” will be posted weekly on the Joint Venture web site at http://www.jointventure.org.
