Joint Venture board adds Rob Chapman

Robert Chapman EPRI executive approved at quarterly meeting

September 19, 2014 – The Joint Venture Silicon Valley board of directors today elected Robert Chapman of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) to the board at its quarterly meeting in Menlo Park.

Chapman is Vice President, Member and Technical Services for EPRI, with responsibility for ensuring broad participation in EPRI research, improving the value members receive from EPRI, and establishing engagement processes that support clients’ overall technology management efforts.

Chapman joined EPRI in 1999 as the director of North American Technical Advisory Services and rose to his current position in 2006.

Previously, Chapman was director of western sales for PG&E Energy Services. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

The 50-member Joint Venture board of directors includes senior-level representatives from business, government, academia, labor and workforce organizations and the broader community. Among Joint Venture’s current regional initiatives are programs to support economic development, build the smart energy network of the future, strengthen climate protection, broaden the region's wireless network and beautify the El Camino Real.
