Joint Venture Engages Businesses with New Clean Energy Agency

2 logos stacked

Joint Venture, working as an integral member of the new Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) team, took the lead in conducting a series of recent business workshops involving 20 of the largest energy customers in Silicon Valley. The workshops, conducted at Google, NetApp, and Specialized Bicycle, focused on energy offerings under development by SVCE and the needs of large commercial and industrial electricity customers in the area, who represent more than 30 percent of SVCE’s anticipated demand.

In a related development, the SVCE Board voted to source a 100 percent GHG-free energy mix for its local electricity service, set to begin in April 2017. Commercial and residential electricity customers will benefit from new clean power offerings at competitive prices, and local communities will realize major reductions in carbon emissions. SVCE was formed by, and will serve, the Cities of Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, Mountain View, Saratoga, Sunnyvale, and unincorporated Santa Clara County.
