Coworking, hot desking or simply working from home… The past few years have seen organizations provide creative, nontraditional and, particularly in the age of COVID-19, remote ways to work for their employees. With that as our backdrop, I couldn’t be more enthusiastic for Joint Venture to double down on the value of a physical address by moving to a new space in the heart of the Silicon Valley.
In the latter half of 2020, the Joint Venture Silicon Valley offices will migrate two city blocks north of our current location, to the corner of Santa Clara and Market Streets, on the 8th floor of the “Glass House” building in downtown San Jose. Our new location will sit directly across the street from one of BART's planned downtown stops and a short walk from current projects under development by Google, Urban Community, and Urban Catalyst, the redeveloped Diridon Station, and much more.
Thanks to the generous support of our network (with special thanks to HGA Architects, Pestana Properties and CBRE) the new Joint Venture HQ will largely forgo traditional office standards; instead, the new space will feature an open, dynamic design, and we’re inviting our partners and the community to leverage it for board meetings, seminars, team retreats, and more.
Joint Venture has convened Silicon Valley leaders for more than 20 years and we’re excited that, in 2020, we’ll be able to bring that mission to life in a new way through this space. Here is a sneak peak, but I can’t wait to give you a tour in person when we open the doors later this year.
