Connecting Through Music

As you may or may not know, our CEO, Russell Hancock, has a second life. The life of a concert pianist. Some of you may have attended his concerts, where he performs as the pianist for the Saint Michael Trio. But now we're all stuck at home. Making concert attendance impossible. How do we share in the joy of music? Well, we may have an answer. We humbly present: Concerts From the Couch. Now you can sit on the couch, in your home, and listen to Russ play piano in his home.

At a time when many are feeling isolated and stressed, we are seeing people from across the globe using their creativity to connect with each other in clever ways. We hope this will provide one more opportunity for connection and that this music will bring some much-needed comfort in these uncertain times.

This is the third in a series of concerts we plan to share on the blog. We hope you will join us here, from your couch.

About Today's Music

Russ plays Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.

A note from Russ: Rather than play it for you by myself in the house, I'm posting up footage from 2018, a throwback to those days when there were such things as concerts (who remembers?) These are the final minutes of a performance with the Temple Hill Symphony Orchestra in Oakland, California.
