Roster of Silicon Valley local elected officials
In Gilroy, only one of four incumbents won re-election, while in San Mateo County, women now make up the majority of county supervisors. What does Election 2024 mean for cities and counties across Silicon Valley?
Joint Venture Silicon Valley has conducted a comprehensive demographic analysis of the region’s elected officials following the November election. This analysis covers all 44 jurisdictions in Silicon Valley—including the boards of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, as well as parts of Alameda and Santa Cruz Counties—along with mayors and city council members from the region’s 39 cities.
The analysis includes an updated roster of elected officials, color-coded to show who’s new, who’s returning, and who’s remaining with time left in their terms. Links lead directly to each city or county website.
In addition, Joint Venture has aggregated and parsed the data by gender, age, party affiliation, race and ethnicity, and professional background to provide a deeper understanding of the region’s political landscape.
