On October 21, 2021, the anniversary of the 1868 Hayward Fault Earthquake & International ShakeOut Day, we will recognize the completion of the HayWired Scenario with the final release of Volume 3.

The event will begin with highlights and reflections on the V. 3 chapters. Next we will feature lightning presentations by graduate students researching the Hayward fault earthquakes, and discuss efforts to diversify communication of the HayWired scenario.

The HayWired Exercise Toolkit, which will provide business, nonprofit, and local government users with the opportunity to use the scenario for their own exercises, will then be launched by USGS partners the Earthquake Country Alliance and California Resilience Alliance.

From 2-3 PM, we will hear from governments, nonprofits, and corporations who have learned from and applied the scenario to improve their own practices and strengthend infrastructure to improve resilience to earthquakes.

At 3 PM, at the end of the formal presentations, you can join us for optional breakouts to mingle with chapter authors and fellow guests.

Join us online after your ShakeOut drill for any or all of the sessions below!
