Hiba Rteil
Education and Outreach Specialist, Food Recovery Initiative
Hiba Rteil is the Education and Outreach Specialist for Joint Venture’s Food Recovery Initiative. Hiba has an academic background in environmental management. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and her Masters of Science in Ecosystem Management from the American University of Beirut.
Her career began as team coordinator at a consultancy firm where her work focused on analyzing the environmental sectors of Lebanon. Later, she joined the United Nation Development Program as a site manager for a natural reserve that was part of a regional project called MedWetCoast.
In addition to her commitment at Joint Venture, Hiba is the Program Manager for FIRST LEGO League Challenge in Northern California, a role she has held since 2019. Outside of work, she is a mother of two, loves traveling, and enjoys Mediterranean food.
