MEET THE JOINT VENTURE TEAM
John joined Joint Venture as a Climate Corps member in 2011 to inventory greenhouse gas emissions for local governments. John earned his undergraduate degree in entreprenuerial management at Texax Christian University in 2005 and his master's degree in sociology from Colorado State University in 2010. John's thesis analyzed the spatial relationship between anthropogenic variables and CO2 emissions for the United States.
Before attending graduate school, John worked in the private sector, and afterward he volunteered at an organic CSA farm in Maryland where he was able to experience local agriculture first hand and had the opportunity to lead environmental and agricultural education sessions. He later participated in an AmeriCorps program affiliated with the Bureau of Reclamation where he served as the GIS coordinator in Colorado for their Great Plains Region. In keeping with the AmeriCorps theme, John joined the Bay Area Climate Corps to work with Joint Venture.
