Lukas Lopez-Jensen

Lukas Lopez-Jensen is a coterminal master's student at Stanford University, where he is pursuing an M.A. in Public policy after graduating in 2023 with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Italian. During his first year at Stanford, he took Joint Venture CEO Russell Hancock's class on regional politics in Silicon Valley and the Bay Area and became fascinated by the unique dynamics of regional governments. In 2020, Lopez-Jensen joined Joint Venture as a Benest Fellow and contributed to the research activities of the Silicon Valley Institute for Regional Studies, focusing primarily on local government finances. In 2021, he became a Research Associate as a continuation of his work with the Institute. He has also worked in the Colorado Governor's Office, conducted summer research through the Stanford Economics Department, and interned with the World Bank's Development Impact Evaluation group.
