Joint Venture Board Adds Rakesh Chaudhary, M.D

Rakesh Chaudhary, M.D.June 12, 2020 – The Joint Venture Silicon Valley board of directors today elected Rakesh Chaudhary, M.D., to the board at their quarterly meeting. Dr. Chaudhary is Physician-in-Chief at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Chaudhary to the board,” said Russell Hancock, President & CEO of Joint Venture. “His passion and background bring valuable expertise to our ranks.”

Dr. Chaudary attended Yale University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Biology. While at Yale, he was awarded Distinction in Major for his research in the field of genetics. He received his Medical Degree from UCSF where he graduated with clinical honors in 1994.

Dr. Chaudhary completed his internship and residency at UCSF and in the final year of his residency did research on atrial fibrillation. He joined Kaiser Permanente in 1997 and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, and a member of the California and Santa Clara County Medical Associations.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Chaudhary is married and has three sons. He and his family enjoy skiing, snowboarding, going to the beach, and traveling. Dr. Chaudhary enjoys running, biking, hiking, scuba diving, and a good book.
