Six top Silicon Valley leaders elected to Joint Venture Board: Adams, Alder, Alquist, Gustafson, LeZotte, McCalmont

Group includes a state senator and senior business executives. Board also names three former members to Inaugural Senior Advisory Council.

SAN JOSE, Calif. | June 17, 2008 – Joint Venture: Silicon Valley Network today announced the addition of six new members to its board of directors, including State Senator Elaine Alquist and five prominent Silicon Valley business executives.

The board also approved the formation of a new Senior Advisory Council of former board members to serve as an informal pool of knowledge and resources for the Joint Venture board and staff.

“Joint Venture continues to assemble Silicon Valley’s most visionary and effective leaders to drive our many initiatives and activities,” said Russell Hancock, CEO of Joint Venture. “We welcome these distinguished new members to our board and look forward to their contributions to our work.”

The six new members, elected at the board’s quarterly meeting on June 13, are:

  • John Adams, Senior Vice President, Wells Fargo Bank
  • Larry Alder, Product Manager, Google, Inc.
  • The Honorable Elaine Alquist, California State Senator, 13th District
  • Paul Gustafson, President, TDA Group
  • Linda J. LeZotte, Senior Attorney, Berliner Cohen
  • Tom McCalmont, Founder, President and CEO, REgrid Power, Inc.

The first three members of the new advisory council are Eric Benhamou of Benhamou Global Ventures, Stanford Professor William F. Miller and Palo Alto City Manager Frank Benest.
