Newspaper publisher, solar executive, and tech giant add breadth, depth
San Jose, CA – Three prominent Silicon Valley business leaders were elected to the Joint Venture board of directors today, announced Joint Venture CEO Russell Hancock. They are:
James MacGregor, Publisher, San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal
Bobby Ram, Senior Director of Government & Community Relations, SunPower Corporation
Clyde Rodriguez, Advisor and Chief of Staff to the CEO, Advanced Micro Devices
“These are proven leaders,” commented Hancock. “They are more than merely accomplished in their respective fields of endeavor. They have regional sensibilities, and an expansive view of our possibilities.”
Mr. Ram is Director of Global Community Relations for SunPower Corp., where he is responsible for developing and driving strategic outreach programs that help build stronger communities. He brings more than 25 years of management experience in the semiconductor and solar industry to his assignment.
Mr. MacGregor is the newly named Publisher of Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal. Previously, Mr. MacGregor was general manager of Obie Media Corp. in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mr. Rodriguez is Chief of Staff and advisor to AMD CEO Hector Ruiz, and has been with AMD since 2006. Prior to joining AMD Mr. Rodriguez was the principal driver of Microsoft’s 64-bit computing strategy.
