San Jose, CA – Joint Venture has added a CEO, a university president, a high-profile attorney, and the managing director of a global consulting giant to its board of directors, the organization announced today.
Elected unanimously by the board in their quarterly meeting, the new directors are:
Joe Head, President & CEO of Summerhill Homes
Timothy Haight, President of Menlo College
Chris DiGiorgio, Managing Director for Northern California, Accenture Inc.
Daniel Yost, Partner, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP
“These four leaders bring extraordinary horsepower to the Joint Venture board,” said Joint Venture president Russell Hancock. “We are doubly fortunate, first of all because of their depth of experience, but second because of the remarkable breadth they bring to our organization.”
Mr. Head is President & Chief Executive Officer of Summerhill Homes, a specialty builder of homes throughout Silicon Valley and the Bay Area. He has an extensive understanding of the homebuilding industry, having worked for both builders and local government for many years. Previously Mr. Head was General Manager for the Ruby Hills Country Club, served on the San Jose City Council as Vice Chair of the San Jose Redevelopment Agency, was President of Watt-Oakland and Watt-Head Developers.
Dr. Haight is the President of Menlo College, Chairman of the Board of Commonwealth Business Bank, member of Edison International’s Nuclear Power Decommissioning Committee, member of the Board of Advisors of St. Cloud Capital Partners, LLC. Prior to joining Menlo, Dr. Haight was Dean of the College of Business and Economics at California State University, Los Angeles.
Mr. DiGiorgio leads the Northern California Practice for Accenture. During his 26 years with Accenture, Mr. DiGiorgio has specialized in large complex global organizations. Previous clients included: Hewlett-Packard, Boeing and GE Capital, FEDEX, American President Lines, and Sony.
Mr. Yost is a partner in the Silicon Valley office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. Mr. Yost has counseled clients on commercial law, copyright, licensing, marketing, patent, privacy, strategic alliances, trademark and trade secret matters.
