San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed elected to the Joint Venture Board

AMD Vice President Sara Spivey and TDA's Bob Tabke also named directors

San Jose, CA – San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed was elected to the board of directors, Joint Venture president Russell Hancock announced today.

“Chuck Reed is more than merely the mayor of Silicon Valley’s largest city,” said Hancock, commenting on the unanimous decision of the board. “He is a de facto leader of our region, and we’re enormously pleased that he has shown such sensitivity to regional issues, even in these early days of his new administration. He is wildly welcome—and badly needed—on the Joint Venture board.”

The board also elected AMD Vice President Sara Spivey, who oversees the company’s worldwide marketing and sales; and Bob Tabke, Principal and Founding Partner of the TDA Group, a high tech marketing and custom publishing agency in Los Altos.

Hancock praised the appointments. “In Sara Spivey we receive the global perspective of one of the Valley’s most respected and successful companies. And Bob Tabke has 20 years’ experience advising technology companies that will now benefit us. We’re particularly pleased that the group he founded will be helping Joint Venture with our communications outreach efforts.”
