Dave Hodson, Dan Miller, Dave Pine approved at quarterly meeting
March 15, 2013 - Joint Venture Silicon Valley today announced the election of Skype executive Dave Hodson, Juniper Networks senior vice president Dan Miller and San Mateo County Supervisor Dave Pine to its board of directors.
Dave Hodson is a principal development manager for Skype (a division of Microsoft) who specializes in acquisitions and working across sectors to achieve solutions through collaboration. He has been a founder or advisor to several high tech companies. He has a business undergraduate degree and an MBA from California State University, Chico.
Dan Miller leads Juniper Networks’ worldwide Enterprise Sector, including global go-to-market strategy, coverage, compensation and sales. Previously he held senior executive positions with HP and Sun Microsystems. He holds a business administration degree from the University of Colorado.
Dave Pine was elected to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors in a special election in May 2011. Before focusing his career on public service, Pine worked as an attorney and was vice president and general counsel for three publicly traded Silicon Valley technology companies. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Michigan Law School.
The 50-member Joint Venture board of directors includes senior-level representatives from business, local and regional government, academia, labor and workforce organizations and the broader community. Among Joint Venture’s current regional initiatives are programs to support economic development, strengthen climate protection, establish a disaster resiliency center, broaden the region's wireless network and beautify the El Camino Real.
