Joint Venture taps Mick Greco as EVP & Director of Development

Mick Greco

Joint Venture CEO Russell Hancock announced the appointment of veteran Silicon Valley operations manager and fundraiser Michael (Mick) Greco as Executive Vice President and Director of Development.

Most recently manager of partner development for Cristo Rey San José High School, Greco is also an Enrolled Agent of the Internal Revenue Service, and has worked in real estate. He has a marketing degree from Santa Clara University.

Jobs, population growth continue pressure on housing and transit

July 2018 Peninsula Economy update

Joint Venture’s Institute for Regional Studies reported this month that the growing Silicon Valley economy continues to strain infrastructure in Peninsula sub-region.

With unemployment well below state and national levels and a wave of companies announcing expansions, housing prices and rents have surged faster than wages, and the transportation system is overwhelmed, says the brief.

Grand Boulevard Initiative attracting grants: $15 million and counting

People walking on the El Camino

Joint Venture's Grand Boulevard Initiative, a multi-city, multi-sector effort to bring meaningful changes to the El Camino Real, has received a total of $15 million in grants from federal and state sources to date.

The awards have included funds for a Creating Safe and Healthy Corridor Communities study to be completed in February 2019 and a Caltrans Sustainable Transportation Planning grant to develop conceptual design drawings for multimodal streetscape improvements in Palo Alto and Redwood City.

New deputy director for Silicon Valley Talent Partnership Initiative

Floor Koudijs

Floor Koudijs, a leader in management development with a background in international relations, is the new Deputy Director for the Silicon Valley Talent Partnership Initiative at Joint Venture.

Originally from the Netherlands, Floor has been in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2012. Her work experience spans different countries (the Netherlands, Spain and the U.S.) and different sectors (for-profit, non-profit and government).
