Media Advisory: 2022 State of the Valley conference

The 2022 State of the Valley conference is Joint Venture Silicon Valley’s annual “town hall” meeting where Bay Area business leaders, government officials, academia, labor and community leaders, journalists, and citizens come together to discuss Silicon Valley’s economic health and well-being.

A limited number of in-person guests will attend the conference at Stanford University’s Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center. Capped at 300 and in accordance with Stanford and regional health requirements (masked, providing proof of vaccination), in-person guests will be seated at tables of eight. An unlimited virtual audience is also expected to attend. Stanford University is co-presenting the 2022 State of the Valley as an Office of Community Engagement Regional Forum, periodic events that showcase regional collaboration on timely topics and advance Stanford's mission.

Russell Hancock will present an overview of the 2022 Silicon Valley Index. The comprehensive report is produced by the Silicon Valley Institute for Regional Studies, the research arm of Joint Venture, which measures the economic health and vitality of the region. The 2021 Index chronicles a new chapter in Silicon Valley’s unfolding history and assesses the ravaging effects of the pandemic. 

The 2022 Silicon Valley Index will be released at 9:30 a.m. PST on  February 16, 2022.
